More bass for a Loop?

Postby sapphireflame » Sat May 08, 2010 8:04 pm

I bought the following about a year ago to go in kermit's boot:
http://reviews.halfords.com/4028/569301/reviews.htm
We had a bit of an issue with what I wanted and what would fit. I didn't want to lose too much boot space as I really need my boot when I go between Manchester and Glasgow in the holidays. We asked the guy in Halfords if we could try the little pink fli they have, but he couldn't seem to get it in the boot. So I settled for the one above as that was all I could see to fit and I was desperate for more bass! :bigcry:

Now though...I want more!! Mines a 100W, and Chris has a 1000W in his A4. I think thats waaaaay too much for my little loop and I'd probably blast off my boot down the M6  (plus there is no way his would fit Kermit's boot!) but Chris' sounds soo good!

Was wondering if any other Loop owners, or anyone else for that matter, could suggest a suitable product?
I'm willing to loose a little more boot space (but not too much) and I'm definitely wanting more Ws!

I dont know if it's possible in the lupo, but if the spare wheel is in the boot, have you thought about mounting a sub IN the spare wheel? You'd need a new place for your tool kit though

I said at the time you needed a custom enclosure with around a 8" 300-500w sub & amp

but i seem to remember......
"oh no, i cant have something in the boot thats bigger than a shoe Chris as i need the space.." hehe :p

I needed the space too.... hence the A4 Avant

I would say you need to be willing to loose a 3rd of your boot space to get something that sounds half decent..

Then you can do this with all your student friends :P
:DJparty:

just for ideas:

Its chris lingo, I tend to just nod politely until he realises I have no idea what he just said!

Chris, liked those ideas, but not the speakers in the parcel shelf. My parcel shelf is too valuable to cut holes in, I use it to bring eggs home from the shop :P
And yes you were right, should've got batter sound system, should've gone lower, should've got the darker tints.....but I am after all a poor student

Chris Lingo? haha!!!
I bet if i started talking about 1.8T coil packs and turbo's i would be talking your language Steff?

SB, 1, u cant cut holes in a loop loop shelf, it would just fall to bits.. thats a custom shelf made form MDF.
2, you don't need the speakers in it, i thought we were looking at the bass speakers??

3, i have a list of mods that kermy needs!

Black head trim, matching c pillars + all the black sun visors etc etc to match.
New alarm and central locking system...
Rear ARB...
Someone to look at his engine as its doing my head in!!! I have given up trying to find out what the issue is :(

and give over with the poor student rubbish, you lot have more money than me :p

Oh good that means my egg shelf can stay intact

I'm liking the little enclosure on the first pic.....but I guess its custom made?

Any sort of technical language is completely wasted on me.....mechanical or electrical technical talk anyway....
I just want more boom
