hmmm..what colour to paint my RH cups??

Hey guys

As some of you are aware me and my bf are in the process of refurbishing a set of 16" RH Cups to go on my polo. however, i cant decide whether to just re-paint the centres silver or to do them white?? any thoughts/ideas? im also gonna be leaving the rims bare metal polished and was wondering if anybody knows of a decent wax i can buy to try and keep them as clean as possible?

I would go for something funky, what other colour do you have intergrated into your car? whats your fav colour?

well my original idea was to paint the centres purple but i thought they would look a bit odd as i havent got purple anywhere else on the car, plus i eventually plan on getting the interior retrimmed in purple/raspberry leather so was then gonna repaint them to match the interior. that why i was just thinking of doing them white for now but not sure lol! ive gota decide soon though as they're nearly ready to be painted lol!

I say go purple then hun! if its what you want then go for it! it doesnt matter that there is no other purple on your car at the moment if its want you want

Defo go with purple hun......... and as for the wax, we use Rim Wax http://www.rim-wax.co.uk/

At £13 it's a bit expensive but it lasts for ages, and smells deliciously of bubble gum :) we've had a tub for just under a year and it's only about half way through.... I used to use it on the Lenso BSX's that were on my old mk2.

We got some from a stand at a car show (can't remember which one ) have looked at shows since for other people we know but never seen it.

Are you or do you know anyone that's any good with photoshop? If so then do a mock up of the wheels on your car and then it various colours so see what works. Get some pics of your car and the wheels at the same angles, then that should help the pics work better.

Dont really know anybody whos good with things like that lol but cheers for the thought. i think im gonna do them creamy white, like the colour that Bluemotions come in or might try and find a Porche colour. i can always change them later on to purple. they should be ready to paint next week so will upload pics when they're on the car. been a bit slack for the last couple of weeks but gota have them ready for GTI Fest on 11th April so gota pull my finger out lol!
