Hoses

Postby Bonnie151 » Mon Feb 15, 2010 9:46 am

Ok so im now at total loss, Flo (MK3) is splitting hoses like stupid crazy :|

Its the hose that splits into 3 comes down from the cyclinder head, so far ive had to replace 3 since autum time.

I took her to VW Specialist in Jan and they have fitted another one for me (no:4), figured if this was going to be a regular thing then better to have hose covered on warranty (save pennies)

Well sure enough over the weekend hose has gone again :x

The only thing i can think of is the hose has only started going since ive been using the heater so maybe there is some sort of air block and its worth flushing all the system through.

Going down today to get another new hose but even the VW Specialist is starting to scratch there heads.

Any ideas people :?:

Have you thought about replacing it with a sylicone (sp?) hose? Might cost you more in the short term, but would probably save you money long term
